Ebro Delta 

 

One of the most important lacustrine ecosystems of Europe, formed by large lagoons, reedbeds, beaches and dunes  totally untouched.

Lleida's Plains

 

These are pseudo-steppes ecosystem with cereal cultivation in flat and open spaces. Nowadays inhabited by the rarest birds, as the changes in the cultivation techniques in Europe has altered the ecosystems form many species now in decline.

Montrebei

 

The best preserved ravine in Catalonia, it's one of the best zones of the Pyrenees for observation of the bigger birds of prey and the spectacular bearded vulture.

Sierra del Cadí

 

The orographical scenery integrates the Cadí Mountains and the Moixeró Mountains wich form a mountainous barrier with peaks over 2.000 metres high. The different altitudes allow the existence of a varied fauna and flora of Artic species.

Cap de Creus 

 

From the village of Cadaqués to the cap de Creus beacon, we will interpret the dominant habitat of thickets (steppes) and the existing variables of a seemingly uniform world. Between the beacon and the sea we will observe the interesting coastal flora and the sea birds.

Els Ports de Tortosa Beceite

 

The massif presents important peaks with mediterranean habitats of holm oaks coexisting with central european beeches. Here we have the most important populations of wild ibex of the peninsula and varied avifauna of birds of prey and small rock birds.

Garraf Natural Park

 

A dry mediterranean environment of thickets and rock, in this park located a few kilometre south of Barcelona where we can observe the small birds endemic of the mediterranean zone.

Gallocanta

 

A large lagoon of great importance for the hibernation and migration of cranes coming from northen Europe. The observation of more than 15.000 cranes offers a spectacular view.

Watching.  In the lagoon one can watch 15000-25000 cranes, as from end of October until end of February. Others to be watched: Griffon vulture; Montagu`s harrier; Hen harrier; Lesser kestrel; Merlin; Bonelli’s eagle; Little bustard; Great bustard; Stone curlew; Pin-tailed sandgrouse; Black-bellied sandgrouse; Bee-eater; Roller;  Blue rock thrush; Black-eared wheatear; Thekla lark; Calandra lark; Short-toed lark; etc.

One of most important lacustrine ecosystems in Europe, located in the surroundings of Marseille. We can find a large colony of flamingos breeding there.
